The placement of text boxes often interrupts the flow of the text and leads to some flipping back and forth to get all of the information. My daughter has dyslexia and other learning difficulties, so trying to get her to read can be like pulling teeth. She came home last week with a book in this new series "I am Harriet Tubman" and had already read 1/2 the book in school and finished the rest that night. This is HUGE for her! She asked me to get her more in the series, so I ordered two more, they came super fast, and she is already almost done with the second book in just 3 days. I will be ordering the other ones in the series and hope they come out with more. My daughter reads on mid 2nd grade level, which would be a 7 1/2-8 year old level (she is 9 1/2) just for reference for anyone else wondering what age these are good for.
Students LOVE the "I am" books. This is a good one for history and has a lot of good facts about Sacagawea!
For the granddaughter and she loved it.
